Personal Writing Process

Ever since I was in school, I feel like my teachers did a really good job of teaching us these steps. In middle school, I was in Honors English, and was offered A.P. in highschool, but I was too lazy to do it. With that being said, I usually do the basics of these steps when I write a paper. I decide on what would be an appropriate subject for the assignment given. Then, i'll start writing different things that I know about that subject already, or thoughts I'm not sure & I need to do further reasearch on. I usually then bring what I've written to Word, and create a bulletpoint outline about what I've found so far. Creating a draft paper and writing the intro./conclusions, and creating my thesis is the easiest part for me. Then doing some switching around/revising, and then editing my grammar, and little things before the final draft is easy as well. Writing a good "attention getter", and conclusion to my paper, and a thesis are my best qualities. When it comes to figuring out the body of my papers, like which points should go where, and how to interconnect them all is where I have a harder time. I need to work on creating the body of my paper more than anything. It's always been my struggling point.

I Am..

My full name is Nathan Whitney Latham, and consider yourself lucky because I never admit to my middle name. I tend to always go by Nate. Im 19 years old, and will be 20 on October 1st. I'm from the small town of Bourbonnais, and lived here since I was 2. I commute to school. I took a year off after Highschool to work full-time as a manager at a movie theater in town. It was there that I realized I wanted to study buisness management and communications. I quit my job and got a part-time job working at Ruby Tuesday's. I love it. I'm a very outgoing, adventurous person. I love trying new things, and taking new risks. Some hobbies I'm interested in consist of singing, playing the drums, love musicals, love reading, love bike riding, and most recently took up Yoga with my best friend. It's extremely relaxing. I'm pretty excited about College Writing. I love writing although I don't do a lot of it. As soon as I start writing about a topic, my thoughts pour out on the page. These are the basics of me, but I'm open to telling you more if you'd like to ask!
